Matt Bergkamp

Matt, aka “Matty Boom”, has been a great asset to FlightPlan this past year. He was a course director for the Midwest Amateur Championship and has assisted in several other events. In 2025, Matt will be taking over the League Director role at Prairie Center for the KCDG Monday night league.

Matt’s disc golf game is filled with big drives and accurate putts. Entering the “old guys” division this year, he is still a force to be reckoned with. His passion for the game shows whenever he is on the course and he’s a great ambassador for the sport.

Landen Carver

Landen had a fantasic 2024, racking up an Amateur A-Tier win, a B-Tier win as a Professional and several top finishes in other events. Not to mention, he is the Kansas City Disc Golf Club’s newest MPO Champion.

His game is impressive, but so is his character. Landen always has a smile on his face and is gracious in victory as well as defeat. He may be young, but he is poised beyond his years. We look forward to seeing his accomplishments in the future both on and off the course.

Mark Schmitz

Mark “The Champ” Schmitz is the undesputed nicest guy in disc golf… or maybe anywhere. He doesn’t like his nickname because he is so modest, but here at team FlightPlan, he is the Champion in our hearts.

Mark was a Course Director for the Midwest Amateur Championship in 2024 and took it upon himself to research each and every player and provided unprecedented commentary. He also spent countless hours redesigning Lakeside Hills DGC in Olathe this year. He is a valuable asset to the team and we are all lucky to have him.

Jordan Renzelman

Jordan has been a long-time supporter of FlightPlan. He is always there to lend a hand with whatever is needed. From assisting with the MAC, to putting leagues and more, we are happy and grateful to have him around.

We gave Jordan the moniker “Dr. Smooth” because of his effortless putts. Somehow they always seem to find the chains. He has 13 careers victories and was the 2023 Kansas City Disc Golf Club’s MPO Champion. Jordan continues to put in the effort and is constantly improvng his game. We expect big things in 2025.

Brennan Voss

Brennan loves the sport of disc golf and is dedicated to elevating his game. He can often be found in an open field putting in the repetitions to dial in his swing. He has grown leaps and bounds over the last couple of years. His spirit is uplifting and contagious and we couldn’t be happier to have him with FlightPlan.

Brennan will be assisting Matt with running league at Prairie Center in 2025. He has also helped with the MAC and several other FlightPlan events. Be on the lookout for this up-and-comer this year.

Cade “Grenade” Garrelts

Cade is the owner and founder of FlightPlan Disc Golf. He began playing in 1993 and never looked back.
